Draw a plain rectangle with dimensions, door and window positions, and generic furniture footprints. The drawing is more useful and more private than a wide room photo. Ask AI for layout shapes and the tradeoff in each, not a picture-perfect rendering.

Swap in a plain measured sketch and generic object sizes. The clearance-and-purpose comparison is the part that matters.

- Mark uncertainty: List trim, handles, vents, cords, and real furniture overhangs the sketch may miss.
Tape the layout before lifting
Verify every measurement in the room and on the actual furniture. Painter’s tape can reveal whether a clearance feels usable. Follow manufacturer guidance for stability, wall attachment, heat, power, and ventilation.
AI makes the geometry easier to compare. The taped floor and the people moving through the room decide whether a layout works.
