This is how to use AI to separate product label facts from marketing
A package mixes measurements, defined claims, vague promises, and design. Label each kind before paying extra for the story.

This is how to use AI to separate product label facts from marketing.
A cleaner can be “plant powered,” “professional strength,” and “made with recycled plastic” on the same panel. One phrase may describe packaging, one may have a defined certification behind it, and one may be a mood with no measurable comparison.
Type the words or photograph only the package. Ask AI to quote before interpreting and forbid a safety, health, or superiority conclusion. The job is to sort claims and identify who could verify them.
The label prompt:
Classify these phrases from a fictional household cleaner label: “98% plant-derived ingredients,” “powerful natural clean,” “bottle made with 50% post-consumer plastic,” “fragrance free,” and a certification mark named ClearMark. The back panel includes ingredients and directions.
Create four columns: exact label words, measurable or defined claim, marketing language, and source needed. Do not judge safety, environmental impact, or cleaning performance. Do not assume the certification is real until its owner is verified.
Swap in exact words from the current package. The quote-classify-source structure is the part that matters.
Level up the ask:
One more move before you send it. Ask this first:
Rewrite my prompt above into a version that will get me a better result. Tell me what you changed and why, then answer the improved version.
Ask what the claim measures
A percentage can be precise and still describe a narrow part of the product. A certification symbol can be meaningful only if the certifier, standard, and scope are real. Ask AI to state the noun each claim modifies: ingredients, bottle, performance, or something else.
- Quote: Preserve the exact wording, number, qualifier, symbol, and nearby context.
- Define: Find whether the term has a current standard, certifier, or regulator behind it.
- Leave open: Keep safety, superiority, impact, and effectiveness unknown unless accountable evidence supports them.
Follow the claim to its owner
Use the current package, manufacturer, certifier, regulator, and seller. Confirm that a symbol applies to this exact product and which part of the product it covers. A neat classification is not proof that the claim is meaningful.
You finish able to see which words carry evidence, which carry a definition, and which mainly carry the package design.
- Share only: Typed public label text or a tight new package photo; exclude people, receipts, prescriptions, mail, cards, reflections, and surrounding shelves.
- Verify: Ingredients, certifications, warnings, instructions, claim definitions, model details, and current price with the package, certifier, manufacturer, regulator, and seller.
